Leagues

Session 1 - Monday Morning Mixed

This league is intended to be a social league with a focus on supporting the skill development of novice curlers at the same time as providing recreational curling for more experienced curlers. Games begin at 9am and 11:15am and are 8 ends. Teams will be drawn up to ensure a mix of novice and experienced curlers on each team. Couples are encouraged to join but will not be playing together (Thursday Daytime Mixed allows couples to play on the same team). Participants will be playing on different teams each session.

Monday Evening Competitive

The Monday Night Competitive is an open team entry league which can be men's, women's or mixed. The teams remain the same with playoffs at the end of the season. The winner of the playoffs will represent the club in the Travelers Insurance club champions playdowns. Games begin at 7:30 pm and if there are enough teams for 2 draws, then games will begin at 6:30pm and 8:45pm. Single entries will be put on the spare list.

Session 1 - Tuesday Day Ladies

This very popular league is open to all novice and experienced curlers. Only individual entries are allowed. Players will be placed on different teams for each session over the course of the curling season. No previous curling experience is necessary. Come and have some fun with fantastic ladies and enjoy some great curling! Draws begin at 9 am and 11:15 am.

Session 1 - Tuesday Evening Mixed

This league is open to all novice and experienced curlers. The focus of this league is to provide a relaxed, recreational mixed curling experience. Couples and individuals can sign up and play together on one team. Teams are reorganized for every session and there will be playoffs in April. Draw time starts at 7 pm. Depending on the numbers, this can also extend to 9 pm. if need be.

Session 1 - Wednesday Evening Mixed

This league is open to all novice and experienced curlers. The focus of this league is to provide a recreational element, however a competitive nature can also be added to this mixed curling experience. Couples and individuals can sign up and play together on one team. Teams are reorganized for every session and there will be playoffs in April. Draw time starts at 7 pm. Depending on the numbers, this can also extend to 9 pm. if need be.

Session 1 - Thursday Daytime Mixed

The Thursday mixed league is a fun league made up of a mix of both new and experienced curlers. The main objective is to have fun, meet new people and rejoin friends from previous sessions. This is a recreational league, however, there can also be a competitive nature to this mixed curling experience. Couples will have an opportunity to play on the same team. Individual entries are also accepted. Teams are reorganized for every session and there will be playoffs in April. Draw times are 9:00 am and 11:00 am.

Session 1 - Thursday Evening Men's

The Thursday night men's league is recreational curling open to men of all ages. This coming season, the league will be comprised of 3 sessions (draws). New teams will be chosen at the beginning of each draw. Depending on the number of entries there will be either one game (starting at 7:00 pm) or two games (early game 6:30 pm and a late game 8:30 pm). The Thursday night league is intended for both novice and experienced curlers with the emphasis on having a good time.

Session 1 - Friday Daytime Men's

This is a recreational league that is very popular with the male members of the club. It is intended for the novice and experienced curler. Teams are reorganized for every session. Draw times are 9:00 am and 11:00 am.

Friday Night Social League

This league is scheduled for Friday evenings. The league provides an opportunity for spouses, friends, co-workers, new curlers and seasoned curlers to enjoy a Friday night out amongst like-minded individuals. There are extra fun nights, theme nights, costumes and music throughout the schedule. We are less about the win-loss and more about having fun. This league offers a great opportunity for new curling couples and singles to get started. Please note: There is NO sessional membership available in this league. Members sign up for the entire season and remain on the same team for the entire curling year. 

Youth Curling

The Club offers the opportunity for Junior Curlers (elementary and high school students age 9+) to develop curling skills and experience while providing the necessary equipment and coaches. The sessions cover the fundamentals of curling, practice time, league play and team coaching for inter-club Bonspiels. Bus service is provided from JDH (sponsored by local businesses and individuals in our community) and will arrive at the club at approx 3:50 pm. Curling begins at 4 pm and runs until 5:30 pm.

The club also provides a curling program for Bantam and High School curlers on Thursday afternoon after school (4-5:30pm). Instruction and coaching are provided by experienced club members.
