Event Entry Fees
Team-Entry Events
If a team withdraws from the competition at least 14 days prior to the start of the event, a 50% refund will be available; a full refund will only be available if the team's slot can be filled by another team, in which case a full refund will be available less a $20 administration fee.
Individual-Entry Events
If an individual withdraws from the event at least 7 days prior to the start of the event, a 50% refund will be available; a full refund will only be available if the individual's slot can be filled by another individual, in which case a full refund will be available less a $10 administration fee.
Note: ‘Individual Entry Events’ include any club event where a fee is charged to participate, for example, the Christmas party, in-club bonspiels, and other social events.
No Shows
No refunds will be provided for any event where prior arrangements are not made. No-shows will not be reimbursed.
Membership Fees
Cancellation Prior to Start of the Session
If cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the first scheduled day of curling for the applicable session, the member will be reimbursed the full value of the applicable fee, less a $20 administration fee.
Cancellation After the Session has Commenced
If cancellation occurs between 7 days prior to the start of the session and the end of the session, the refund will be prorated to one less than the number of complete curling weeks remaining in the session, less a $20 administration fee. The week of curling will be considered commenced on the Sunday of each week.
For clarity, in an 8-week session, a cancellation at any time during the first week of curling will result in a refund of 6/8’s portion of the sessional fees, less the admin fee. For example, if the sessional fee was $100, a cancellation during week 1 would result in a refund for the 6-weeks portion of the session (7 weeks remaining less 1), so the refund would be $100 x 6/8 - $20, or $55.00.
The final determination of refunds on an individual basis will be at the discretion of the Board.
Note: The administration fee is applicable each time a refund is applied. For example, if a curler requests one refund that covers both session 1 and session 2 fees, the administration fee will be applied once. If a curler requests a refund for session 1 fees and then subsequently requests a refund for session 2 fees, the administration fee will be applied twice.
