Here's What You Want to Know!
We are so excited to announce details of the upcoming curling season on this website. Thinking of trying curling for the very first time? Or coming back after living through a pandemic? Maybe joining more leagues if you curled this year? The best way to get information is by reading this Home Page throughout the season or watching our posts on Facebook.
Curling at the Haliburton Curling Club is fun, entertaining, safe and a wonderful place to meet new people and make friends. If you are new to the sport we have experienced coaches that will provide clinics and practice times to help you. There will also be equipment present at these times in order to support your experience.
The season is divided into 3, 8 week sessions to accommodate our members who travel. Sign up for one, two or all 3 sessions, depending on your holiday schedule. For the curling season 2022-23, here are the dates:
Session 1 Monday, October 3, 2022 - Friday, November, 25. 2022
session 2 Monday November, 28, 2022 - Friday, January 27, 2023
Session 3 Monday, January 30, 2023 - Friday, March 31, 2023
Want to register?
In club registration has taken place, however, if you are new to our club and wish to register for the first session, this has to be done by Monday, Sept. 19th. Please call Sue Mason at (705) 754-3742 to make arrangements.
Returning members have been sent a reminder email on Sept. 14th that if they wish to play in Session 1, they must register by Monday, Sept. 19th. Convenors need to collate the number and names of participants and make the teams. This is only fair that they be given a couple weeks to do this.
Clinics and Practice Times
Learn to curl clinic will be held Saturday, Sept. 24th and if we need an extra day, then also Sunday, Sept. 25th. Practice ice will be available from Sept. 26th – Sept. 30th.
