On Saturday October 19, Haliburton Curling Club had the honour of hosting the inaugural Mixed 4 Town Bonspiel. This bonspiel is an opportunity for men and women to enjoy a day of competitive curling at different clubs (Haliburton, Minden, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls).

The kick-off spiel was a day of friendly competition, good food, a few laughs and a chance to win some prize money. On all accounts, it was definitely a success with the added bonus of one of our entered teams taking first place. Congratulations go to Del Watson, (skip) Norma Kennedy, (vice) Steve Colliver (second) and Monique Colliver (lead).

The bar was set high for all following bonspiels. The next competition will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2019 hosted by Minden. Look for sign ups coming soon on the bulletin board.

The organizers were Laila Morse and Keith Clarkson with Jackie Bradbury running the usual wonderful kitchen, thanks to all the volenteers. We also utilized the digital display for somethig new to track the scoring so who can see the final scoring below.
