The 59th annual Men's Skyline Bonspiel finished today with some outstanding results for our Haliburton Curling Club. With the superb direction of committee members, Kent Milford, Dave Moss, Don Wetmore, Steve Colliver and Russ Duhaime, 22 teams hit the ice on Friday January 19th and continued curling until Sunday afternoon.
Everyone had a great time with the hopes of returning next year to celebrate the camaraderie again. Ron Tenthowey amazed everyone with his culinery skills and provided outstanding breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The steaks from McFadden Meats was out of this world!
Winners of the A Event and the entire spiel was our own Haliburton team skipped by Mitch Stephen. Mitch had Russ Duhaime as his vice, Tyler Warham as second and Dustyn McCready-Debruin as lead. Congratulations! Eric Hussey also enjoyed having Mitch win as he won the Calcutta.

Winners of the C Event was another team from Haliburton skipped by Dave Moss for Darrell O'Neill, who unfortunately was injured after the first game. Darrell came to every game to support his team. Don Hillaby filled in the vice position. Congratulations!

Our own Steve Colliver brings his son, brother and nephew every year into this spiel. I think they have won every event and some more than once. This weekend they won the D Event. Congratulations!
